Oban and the surrounding area

The seaside location of Oban makes it the ideal holiday centre if you want to see any of the following Scottish Isles: Kerrera, Mull, Colonsay, Tiree, Coll, and Lismore. The ferries also go further afield to the western Isles of Barra and South Uist.

Local attractions include the unmistakable edifice that towers over the town known as McCaig's Folly. It was designed in the style of the Coliseum in Rome and now contains a pleasant park with spectacular views out to sea. Also located nearby your accommodation is the Oban Whisky Distillery which was founded in 1794.

Absolutely everywhere around Oban has simply stunning scenery, however visitors can also visit:- The Scottish Sealife Sanctuary, one of the many cruises, Glencruitten Golf Club, The Oban War & Peace Museum, Easdale & The Atlantic Bridge and even The Inverary Jail (a museum)
